What is motion design?

Motion design is the craft of animating graphic elements — shapes, text, icons, illustrations and characters — to deliver a message on video. It can explain a service, a process or complex data in a short format, with no filming or actors. You will find it in explainer videos, social media ads, corporate presentations, title sequences, logo animations and the micro-animations that bring websites and apps to life.

At Uteek, every video goes through a complete production pipeline: script, storyboard, illustration, animation, sound design and exports tailored to each platform. Our team has produced motion design materials for La Poste Tunisienne and a cartoon video for Henkel. Because we also design websites and apps, we animate interfaces too, using lightweight Lottie files that developers can integrate directly into their code.

Our motion design formats

Explainer videos

An explainer video presents your offer, service or process in a short format, with a clear script, a voiceover and custom illustrations that make it easy to follow.

Social media content

Short videos in vertical, square or landscape formats, designed to be understood without sound thanks to subtitles and animated text.

Logo animation

Your logo comes to life in a few seconds to open or close your videos, presentations and posts, in line with your brand guidelines.

Cartoons and characters

Illustrated, animated characters tell a story, raise awareness or introduce a product with a more narrative, human and engaging approach than text alone.

Interface animation

Micro-interactions, transitions and animated illustrations for your websites and apps, delivered as lightweight Lottie files that developers can integrate easily.

Animated data and infographics

Animated figures, maps and diagrams make a report, an annual review or a study easier to read and share, both online and in meetings.

Why choose Uteek as your motion design agency?

We combine writing, illustration and animation in one studio to produce clear videos that stay true to your brand.

End-to-end production

Script, storyboard, illustration, animation, voiceover and music are coordinated by the same team. You have a single point of contact from the first brief to the final files for every channel.

Concrete references

We have produced motion design materials for La Poste Tunisienne and a cartoon video for Henkel. These projects show how we adapt tone and style to very different audiences and objectives.

Design at the heart of animation

Our motion designers work alongside the graphic designers who create visual identities. Every video respects your colours, typefaces and tone of voice, so it strengthens your brand rather than diluting it.

Animations for web and mobile

Thanks to our development teams, we produce lightweight Lottie animations for your websites and apps that do not weigh down loading times or complicate integration for your developers.

Frequently asked questions: Motion Design Agency

Which video formats do you deliver for social media?

We generally deliver MP4 (H.264) files in aspect ratios suited to each use: 9:16 vertical for Reels, TikTok and Stories, 1:1 or 4:5 for Instagram and Facebook posts, and 16:9 for YouTube, LinkedIn and your website. Versions with burned-in subtitles or separate subtitle files can be provided, as many videos are watched with the sound off.

How long should a motion design video be?

It depends on the objective and the channel. A social media ad usually needs to get its point across in a few seconds, whereas an explainer presenting a service can run longer to give viewers time to understand. We recommend the right length during the brief, and the script is then written to fit that format without overloading the message.

How long does it take to produce an animated video?

An explainer video generally takes between 3 and 6 weeks from brief to delivery. The timeline depends on the length of the video, the complexity of illustrations and characters, whether a voiceover is needed and the number of feedback rounds. A logo animation or a series of short social media videos can be quicker to produce.

Do you provide the voiceover and music?

Yes, on request. We can arrange the recording of a professional voiceover in English, French or Arabic and select licensed music suitable for commercial use. The voice, language and musical style are agreed with you before animation begins, and the music licensing terms are specified in the quote so you know exactly where the video can be used.

What is a Lottie animation?

Lottie is a JSON-based animation format exported from After Effects, which websites and iOS and Android apps display using open-source libraries. A Lottie animation stays sharp at any size, is generally much lighter than a video file and can be controlled by code: play, pause, loop or trigger on scroll. It is well suited to icons, loaders, onboarding screens and interface illustrations.

Can you animate our existing illustrations or brand assets?

Yes. We are happy to start from your existing assets: logo, illustrations, icons, typefaces and brand colours. Ideally, send us the vector source files (AI, EPS, SVG or Figma files) so the animation stays crisp. If your brand does not yet have an illustration style, we can create one that stays consistent with your visual identity.

Can animated videos be accessible?

Yes, provided accessibility is planned from the start. We add subtitles, ensure text has enough contrast and stays on screen long enough, avoid rapid flashing and, for interface animations, respect users’ reduced-motion settings in line with WCAG recommendations. A transcript or audio description can also be provided depending on where the video will be published.
