Visual Identity Design

A recognisable, consistent brand, from your website to your business cards

Uteek designs complete visual identities for companies, institutions and startups from its studio in Tunis, for clients in Tunisia and abroad. We start from your positioning to define a graphic language — logo, colours, typography, imagery — then roll it out across every touchpoint, in English and French.

What is a visual identity?

A visual identity is the set of graphic elements that make a brand recognisable at a glance: logo, colour palette, typefaces, iconography, photography style, patterns and layout rules. It turns an organisation’s positioning, values and personality into visible signs. Broader than a logo alone, it applies to every touchpoint — website, app, social media, signage, packaging, sales documents and internal materials — so that people recognise the brand wherever they meet it.

At Uteek, visual identity design starts with strategy: we look at your market, your competitors and your audiences, whether in Tunisia or internationally. Our designers then turn that groundwork into a consistent graphic system, tested on real use cases before delivery. The result is a brand that is clear, memorable and easy to roll out, both for your own teams and for the agencies, printers and developers you work with.

What our visual identity service includes

Brand platform

Mission, values, personality and tone of voice: we put the foundations of your brand into words so they can guide every visual and editorial decision that follows.

Graphic language

Colour palette, typefaces, iconography, patterns and photography direction combine into a visual language that is unmistakably yours, recognisable even without the logo.

Logo and variants

A logo designed as the centrepiece of the system, with horizontal, stacked, single-colour and icon versions so it adapts to every format and size.

Print materials

Business cards, stationery, brochures, roll-up banners and signage: we apply the identity to your priority printed materials and supply print-ready files.

Digital assets

Social media templates, email signatures, banners, presentation decks and favicons keep your brand consistent online and in everyday communication with clients and partners.

Brand usage guide

A reference document explains how to use each element, with examples to follow and mistakes to avoid, so your teams apply the brand correctly over time.

Frequently asked questions: Visual Identity Design

What is the difference between a visual identity and a logo?

A logo is a single element; a visual identity is the complete system around it. It also covers colours, typefaces, iconography, photography style, layout rules and applications on every medium. A logo alone rarely makes a brand recognisable: it is the consistent repetition of the whole system, across your website, social media and documents, that makes people remember you.

Should we redesign our visual identity or just refresh it?

It depends on what still works. If your brand is well known and its core elements remain relevant, a refresh — a modernised logo, an extended palette, new typefaces — keeps the recognition you have built. If your business, audiences or positioning have changed significantly, a full redesign is usually more appropriate. We start with an audit of your current identity to recommend the right option.

How long does it take to create a visual identity?

A complete visual identity generally takes between 4 and 10 weeks, depending on the scope of the brand strategy, the number of materials to design and how quickly decision-makers can give feedback. A detailed schedule, with presentation and feedback dates, is agreed at kick-off so that each stage can be planned on both sides.

Which materials will the identity be applied to?

The list of applications is defined in the quote according to your priorities. It can include stationery, business cards, presentation templates, social media visuals, signage, vehicles, packaging, uniforms or web and mobile interfaces. We usually recommend starting with the most visible materials, then extending the identity gradually with the help of the usage guide.

How does the identity work on digital channels?

We design it for screens from the outset: a logo that stays legible at very small sizes and as a favicon, colours defined in RGB and hex values, web-ready typefaces and contrast levels in line with WCAG recommendations. These choices make later work on your website, app or social media easier and prevent inconsistencies between printed and digital materials.

Can you create a bilingual or multilingual identity?

Yes. We work in English and French, and we check that the chosen typefaces support the languages you need, including Arabic when your brand addresses Tunisian or regional audiences. Layouts are designed to handle texts of different lengths and, where necessary, different reading directions, without losing the overall consistency of the brand.

What happens once the visual identity is delivered?

You receive the source files, ready-to-use exports and the usage guide, so your teams and suppliers can work independently. If you wish, Uteek can continue to support you with new materials, a website, a mobile app, motion design videos or social media campaigns, all built on the same visual identity to keep your brand consistent.
