Modernise your website without losing what already works well
An outdated design, slow pages, a back office nobody wants to use or messaging that no longer reflects what you do: a redesign brings your website back in line with your business. Uteek starts every redesign with an audit and protects your search rankings and existing content throughout.
Uteek · TunisWhen should you consider a website redesign?
A website redesign is needed when the site no longer does its job: a look that no longer matches the brand, poor mobile display, slow loading, outdated technology that is hard to secure, or content the team struggles to update. It also becomes necessary after a merger, a repositioning, a change of visual identity or an expansion into new markets and languages.
A redesign is about more than a new look. It means rethinking the structure, user journeys and content based on real data from the existing site, then migrating everything without breaking what works. The biggest risk is losing visibility on Google through changed URLs, deleted pages or missing redirects. At Uteek, every redesign includes a detailed SEO migration plan, checked before and after launch.

The new website is built and tested in a separate environment. Go-live is scheduled at a suitable time, with a rollback procedure ready in case anything unexpected happens.

Frequently asked questions: Website Redesign
How do I know if my website needs a redesign?
Warning signs include a high bounce rate on mobile, slow pages, falling traffic, a design that no longer matches your image, difficulty updating content, or technology that no longer receives security updates. An audit shows whether a full redesign is needed or whether targeted improvements would be enough.
Will I lose my Google rankings after a redesign?
The risk is real when URLs change without precautions. To limit it, we list every indexed page and every page that receives traffic or backlinks, then set up 301 redirects to their new equivalents. We keep high-performing content and monitor indexing after launch so any issue can be fixed quickly.
Can we keep our existing content?
Yes, and it is often recommended for pages that perform well. During the audit, we sort content into three groups: keep as is, rewrite or merge, and remove. Useful blog posts, news, product sheets and documents are migrated to the new site, automatically wherever possible.
Do we need to change CMS during a redesign?
Not necessarily. If your current tool is maintained, secure and suited to your needs, we can keep it and rework only the design and structure. Changing CMS makes sense when the technology is outdated, too costly to maintain or too limited for your plans. We present the options with their pros and cons.
How long does a website redesign take?
A redesign typically takes six to twelve weeks for a corporate website, and longer for content-heavy sites or those with advanced features. The timeline depends on the number of pages to migrate, any content rewriting and how many stakeholders need to approve each stage.
Does the current website stay online during the redesign?
Yes. The new website is developed on a private staging environment while the old one keeps running normally. The switchover only happens after full approval and takes little time, usually scheduled outside peak hours to minimise any impact on your visitors.
Can a redesign be carried out in phases?
Yes, when budget or internal organisation requires it. We might start with high-traffic pages or a technical upgrade, then address design and content in a second phase. This gradual approach needs careful planning to keep the experience consistent for visitors throughout the transition.
